When You Have too Much Money - Well This is for You
When you have too much money, well this is for you.
On a beautiful Labor Day weekend anchored in New Harbor Block Island, RI.
This quiet harbor turn on its ear when this 46 foot Skater dual jet turbine cat race boat came through the harbor. Notice the driver is wearing hearing protection, but not his guest.
It was just deafening for everyone in the harbor until the guy spooled it down after about 20 minutes.

I can't even begin to imagine the fuel bill on that thing.

We used to run a 350 hp river jet boat which burned 12 gallons/hour if we went full throttle up rapids. That would be a fuel sipping miser compared to what you showed.

We had a large group of these morons invade our harbor on a Saturday a month ago. To impress everyone, they would pull into an empty slip and let their "bar of soap" sit and idle for 20 minutes. Wouldn't you guess...I was down wind. Next month I'm moving my boat to the Bay.

In my experience it's usually more debt than brains that leads to this situation.

Reminds me of the Harley's and their ilk with over tuned exhausts....
