I took an old iPhone and loaded it with many of my favorite CDs. The iPhone connects to a set of speakers I got for Christmas (used to use an FM transmitter to the stereo).

Some well crafted play lists lets me hear the tunes I want to hear without on-going expenses.

Great minds think alike .

Looking forward to seeing you on Thursday. Nothing (well almost nothing) beats the company of good friends, good food and good wine for a great evening .

Re: What Kind of Entertainment do you Have?

At anchor, we have each other, Boggle, Scrabble, Yahtzee, Backgammon, cards, sundowners, snorkeling, diving, fishing, walks, beachcombing, digital photography, dinghy rides, fishing for me, sewing for her, music, and an occasional movie.

We have an Alpine head unit which we connect our music player and our tv for great sound. This uses 4 Polk component speakers connected to an Alpine amp along with a Bazooka tube sub. We also have two other Bazooka Tubbie speakers in the cockpit which we can switch on and off. We have a lot of movies on hard drive which we play on our tv through a media player. For away from the boat, we also have a portable Bose speaker for music.

Banjo.
Usually helps with those anchored too close.
After a couple of rums and attempts at singing some John Prine, I could drag for hours and not worry about running into anyone.

Add a Wirie to amplify the "free internet" signals that often don't reach where you might wish they did. There are alternatives to that, of course.

Well, if anything could pull me off Windows Solitaire, it's her backside.

Re: What Kind of Entertainment do you Have?

Thats sort of exactly why I am going cruising... Rainy rural England on a Tuesday evening thats all there is to do. Looking for something a little more fulfilling!
Having said that.... 19" TV and the full DVD box set of "Only Fools and Horses".... Just to remember where I am from :-)
