Tomorrow a replica of Jules Vernes ship Saint Michel II will arrive Kiel.
In 1881 he sailed his steamship Saint Michel III from Nantes /France to Kiel /Germany. The Kiel Canal did not exist, so he sailed over the North Sea to Tönning
and further on the river Eider via Eiderkanal to Kiel and Copenhagen.
