The reason the newbie lurkers don’t post is... there aren’t any. Boating, especially sailing, is dying. We’re probably the last generation of cruising type people, the stats back this up.

Please do your own homework, the evidence is everywhere and many threads have been dedicated to the subject. The boat building industry is in steady decline and has been for years.
