Re: Interesting Kayak ... Thoughts ?

I've been using a Sea Eagle 370 on lakes for years - take it on camping trips. It has occured to me that it would make a good sailboat tender too.

Pluses - tough, loads of bouyancy (650 lbs), stable, room for two large adults and gear. The deluxe inflatable seats are very comfy (I have back issues so proper seats are important to me)

On the minus side it's a bit slow. Friends with real kayaks pull away from me easily.

Re: Interesting Kayak ... Thoughts ?

We were actually looking at getting 2 tandem-version of these for our next set:

Point 65°N - Kayaks from Sweden

The benefits we see are easier stowage and ability to convert to a smaller solo easily if only 3 people wanted to paddle. Or if we were feeling silly I suppose we could have a quad kayak... Comes with a rudder, too.
