Help identifying shell
Hi all... we were beach combing in the bahamas today and we found several of these.... does anyone know what they are?

They were stuck to the rock and I assume they are a carapace for something...

A Chiton. One of the oldest living critters on earth. The Bahamians call them curbs. They make a stew out of them. Not exactly delicious but good.
