I'm seeing money maker here. Like the smiley face, or that Happy Rock thing. If you can remember it, you are old.

PET ROCK. Ok, I'm old. Plenty of you are older. Way too many are younger.

Only 2 so far

In my 31 years of avid diving, I have only lost 2 masks. Both times it was when I took it off my forehead and put my arm through the strap, heavy surf included.

Well, in 14 years of avid diving, I don't think I have EVER lost a mask or snorkel - and I do like using my snorkel - for snorkeling! I also never touch the wibbly wobbly rolly uppy snorkel that I keep on my BCD pocket to meet standards, because I like a good solid snorkel for snorkeling!

I have regularly free dived to 14m to recover dozens of masks over the years - mainly because of idiots who take them off their heads before they are back on the boat. If they would listen to me in the first place, and put the d&*n things around their neck (if they really want it off their face), they wouldn't lose the d^&n thing in the first place!!

I do find having neoprene strap covers on them does help to slow down their descent!

I've lost one mask in 9 years. When I left it by the pool after playing around with the camera housing, and someone snagged it before I got back.

having a snorkel float as an adult would be too much like having mittens retainers as a kid.

Well, better that than the camera, I guess.

When I want the mask off (boarding, surf transition, etc) I slide it down and turn it around so the mask is in back of my head. I've never lost a mask.

I never worried about it, until I bought an expensive prescription mask, and found my self using it to clean my hull, in deep, cold, murky water.
Easy to get a mask accidentally knocked off.
I've since had laser surgery , which I can highly recommend to cruisers, so the cheap ones work for me now.
Wanna buy a prescription mask?
