Emails at Sea

This is our first cruising trip into the Bahamas. And my question is how is the best way to stay in touch with family (email) when you under hook most of the time?

Re: Emails at Sea

One of the most common questions for cruisers to the Bahamas. If you near a town or marina or other source of wifi then that is one option. Get an cell phone account with Batelco is another.

For short texts there are a couple of companies that link via Satellite like Spot.

Other than this the only solutions will require an investment of a few thousand. Satellite, Ham or marine SSB are the alternatives.

If you want to read a lot of detail on all the options a search of the forum will probably give you more than you wanted to know.
