DAN Dive Insurance - Anyone Have It?

I never used to think about it, but after 30 years of diving from simple recreational to advanced research type diving with mixed gases, I have now been a DAN member (as an individual) for the past three years. I just recently added my daughter and wife by upgrading to a "family plan" and since we'll be diving in some very remote and uncivilized locations, I like the added security and peace of mind just knowing if something happens I can get an air-lift for "free" to a chamber for anyone of us.
In my opinion, YES, it is worth it, but only if you use it once. It's like insurance, don't like paying for anything you don't use, but damn glad to have it when the bill collector knocks on the door for dollars and you're trying to save pennies.

We are leaving on our cruise next week and decided that we should probably get DAN. Once we read through it's coverage, it was a no brainer.

We have it, but have never used it, (that's a good thing), but definately think it is worth the money!!!!!

Been a member since 91 and used them once. They are professionals and know what they are doing.

Was a human guinea pig for them at Duke University back in the mid 90's. Convinced me to A) never get bent again and B) keep insurance... I've watched two people get bent and not have it... made a $2,500 vacation a $15,000 vacation about 24hrs later!
