Boatyard Meditation

Hello AllÖ
Iím just about to finish my first solo Atlantic Crossing (currently in Horta) and Iím looking for somewhere to store the boat for a while. My original plan was somewhere in Spain. But Iím receiving anecdotal advice that it is full to the brim with boats. I am going to start looking into the Canaries also.
What Iím looking for is first hand advice on yards that are affordable, secure and accessible. I will be flying back to the US to try and earn some money. So will be looking for about a six month layup.

Best Regards Steven SV Khensu

Re: Boatyard Meditation

If you are happy to lift out , youíll find many marinas and yards have hard standing available at the moment.

Marina water based moorings will be very very difficult to find in July Aug.

The train station is just down the road and you can travel to Lisbon or Porto with one change at Coimbra.
