Re: best place to keep your boat on the east shore of the Puget Sound and why?

After having my boat in Bellingham for four years, I moved it down to Astoria Or and only come up to Washington while passing through to Canada. 93 a month vs 460 month in Bellingham.
Land is cheaper too.
Just saying....

I – 5 take the Pacific Ave exit, turn left about 6 stop light, turn right on Marina View drve, the marina is past the navel station, Nimitz carrier is in. The marina has 3 areas, South, Central and North. The marina office is in the central area, behind the boat yard.

Everett marina is the biggest marina in the Puget Sound.

Cap Sante Marina in Anacortes is worth a consideration. The location is right downtown and the San Juans are in spitting distance. Small town and beautiful.

Yep! low was 10:57, -2.6 ft. Most of the new ramps are long so they are not to steep. Not so bad once you get use to it. If you go further north they get bigger. If you are on the salt the tide is about the same everywhere, just the time is different. If you do not want the tide then Lake Union or Lake Washington as the lock separates the fresh and salt.

Other then the tide how was it! Did you look at the old, south and central, or the new marina, north?

Tacoma and DeMonize have nice large marinas which would be closer. Let me know when you pass thru. Sunday there is farmers market.

Hi RW , we looked at a Catalina on Lake Washington. Almost think it might serve us well to learn our new boat one year then expand north or south.

We lived moored on the south end of Lake Union with a 360 degree of Seattle. lake Union and Lake washington are larger enough that you do not need to come off the lake. We may move the boat back down as we loved the city. We bought the Eagle to be a dock condo as
It cheaper than a boat and house, and we can move if around.

Personally, I am keen on Tacoma.

Dock Street Marina - Certified Clean Marina with a five star Envirostars rating at Tacoma, WA USA.

Foss Harbor Marina in Tacoma, Washington

Shilshole does have a nice location that is 'water' central in puget sound though, as does the Eagle Harbor location mentioned. I just happen to like the city of Tacoma.

I have found the folks at Port of Friday Harbor to be incredibly welcoming, very friendly people.

Thanks, my wife and I just finally arrived August 1; to Federal Way. Tacoma looks like a good option rather then nearby Des Moines...
We looked at TYC .. Just curious of the age group.
