I have see floating hot tubs.
They have a floatation collar to keep waves out, and because fresh water is heavier than salt. How is the water warmed?.....supposedly by the engine....diesel exhaust would put a crimp on the hot tub experience though.

On a dock, a big trawler.
At anchor, a big cat.
Dock space for a big cat can be hard to come by.

I guess it depends if you are living aboard a boat that goes places (like serious passage making) or one that stays put
