Thanksgiving - Where to spend it along the ICW?

E are looking for recommendations on where to stay for Thanksgiving between Jekyll Island and Vero beach. So far we have heard the Lang's Marina in St. Mary's and Vero Beach have a get together for Thanksgiving every year.

Do any of the marina's in St. Augustine do anything or any other marina's between Jekyll Island or Vero Beach?

Last year we were at the Mega dock in Charleston, SC and they didn't have anything going on so it was lonely.

We are looking to celebrate the holidays with other boaters so recommendations are appreciated.

Thanks,

Stacie

St Mary's in Georgia puts on a grand T-day party Hundreds show up.

I like Vero Beach as so many CLODS (Cruisers living on dirt) have settled there ad show up for the t-day party.

Stacie, St. Mary's is hands down the place to be for cruisers. So why not there? Chuck

It sounds like your already south of savannah but they have the parade of lights the Saturday after thanksgiving. I'm sure they would still take your entry if your interested. It includes free dockage and a free room at the westin.

People start bringing their boats Thursday and there is stuff going on all weekend both at the westin and in downtown savannah. It's a great time, we'll be there . Let me know if you might be interested and I can get the contract info for you.

St Mary's is the place to be for sure. But if you or any others are already south of there, the St Augustine Cruisers Net is hosting a Thanksgiving Potluck on Thanksgiving at 2pm. It's the first year, so smaller and will be outside. Details can be found on the facebook group site.

Lots of cruisers heading to Vero. You may want to call for reservations. The moorings get crowded, and you will raft up to another boat.

We just left Brunswick Landing Marina. They just expanded their boaters lounge. It is really nice, and Sherry plans a big shindig for Thanksgiving. If you go, tell her "Fugue" sent you. Plenty of really nice cruisers there, too!

We are in St. Augustine now, but leaving tomorrow, heading south. There may have been something on the bulletin board, but not sure. There is a holiday lighting ceremony on Saturday, the 23rd.
