Marinas in San Blas Islands

We are sailing from Cartagena to Panama in late March 2021.

Looking for a Marina in the San Blas Area

The idea is for a slip for the sailboat for 3 or 4 months.

There’s Linton Bay Marina along that section of coast. A bit out of the way from supplies, but close to San Blas.

There also is (was?) Turtle Cay, never been there so don’t know anything about it other than it was there several years ago and a couple of people we knew stopped in.

There are no marinas in the San Blas so the ones listed above are the closest.

On your way down there, don’t skip the following, which were our favorites:

- Zapzurro (last place in Colombia, right at the border.)
- Isla Pinos
- Snug Harbour

Question : When you checked out of Cartagena , how many "free days" did you have before clearing out of Colombia ?

Also can you give me the coordinates for isla pinos and snug harbor ?

Free days? We first spent a week in the Rosarios, then on to the San Bernardo’s for a night at anchor, next Isla Fuerte for another night anchored, then we did an overnight sail to Zapzurro where we stayed a week. From there it’s a daysail to Isla Pinos (first real island you encounter) and all the next ones are daysails as well. Everything is marked well on the Bauhaus charts. Make sure to have his guide at least and better to score electronic versions of his charts in addition to the book.

When I meant free days , are days of slack to remain in the country after you get the Zarpe.

For example in Belize , you get a Zarpe and legally you have to exit their waters within 24- 48 hours.

I see Colombia is quite lenient as you lingered 2 weeks after the Zarpe. that's good news , thanks
