Marina / Boatyard - Mobile Bay

Hi all,

Work is taking me inland and I'm going to use the opportunity for some long-overdue upgrades on the hard. I'm looking for a sailboat-friendly DIY boatyard/Marina ranging from Mobile Bay to Pensacola. Long-term storage is also a need.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

All I know is Dog River Marina, which may or may not have a boat yard. You may call them for suggestions.

Barber Marina on the ICW near Orange Beach, Alabama is a DYI boatyard. They are new and appear to have lots of space for storage. I have a hurricane plan with them and my association with them thus far has been great. They seem comfortable with sailboats.

Bayou Chico in Pensacola has a couple nice ones,

Located in Bayou Chico. Lot's of DIY boats. Great people. We were hauled out here for several months last huricane season. Bayou Chico is a great, protected bayou, as a previous poster mentioned. We are there now.
