Ok. I read all the awful posts about the Alligator....but we were fighting the remnants of
hurricane Harvey. We stopped southbound after Elizabeth City which was a hellhole. Tied up, folks were nice and they have about the best cheeseburger I ever ate. Anna is a dream....she loves to cook and take care of people. They just took over management in May . We left the next morning bound south....only to have
electrical issues and have to turn right back around. They not only checked in on us while we we r e trying to fix it, when we couldn't, they called a trusted
family friend to come diagnose the problem. He spent all day Sunday before labor day running around trying to get us a part. When that failed Anna and her crew offered us a vehicle to restock if we needed, said they would
work with us any way they could. We ended up leaving our
boat and telling the
mechanic to do his best. They helped us and treated us like
family.....and did I mention the cheeseburger?
We will never forget their kindness or how they took care of us when we were literally stranded. They are what all
marinas should strive to be. We are indebted.
