Along the Mississippi Coast there are many rivers and bayous that shrimp boats, cruisers, and sailboats all traverse during gulf storms. They'll have crew ride it out to watch the lines and it's usually uneventful. Deep water due to flowing tides.

I don't think there are any true watersheds like that in Florida, but to me that's the safest bet.
