Ft Myers area Marinas for DIY, cracked block

Passing through, headed north and cracked the block on my A-4, but made it to San Carlos Bay. So while looking for an engine also need some info in an area where I know no one and have no knoweldge of the facilities in the greater Ft. Myers area.
Marina, to allow me to do the work along with a haulout, lift for removing the engine and reinstalling the new, mechanic to asist or allow be to bring in a sub, and of course to allow me to do other maintenence items while on the hard.
Sugestions for a mechanic , marine and plumbing supply houses.
Someplace other than a hotel to stay for 2-4 weeks.
Any info and help would be greatly appreciated.

Glades Boat Storage has do-it-yourself work areas, but it is out in the sticks and you might have to rent a car to get around. The Ft Myers area has most supplies and things available. There are people there at Glades to assist.

Not sure if you are trying to get back to Panama City, but that is a very doable offshore passage from where you are under sail, even without an engine. You could do some hops up the coast, say to Tampa Bay (easy to enter under sail), and then maybe off the Anclote River somewhere.

Thanks for the replies. Glades is a bit far up the river, hoping to find something in the Cape Coral/Ft Myers areas.
Saw the A-4 ad and hope to speak with him today.
