Now you don't need a valid e-mail address to register as a
member. The drawback is that your password now won't be e-mailed to you.
I have seen complains on other bulletin boards about us having the need for a valid address, so here you go:
If you wanna stay anonymous also to the administrator (me), you can now submit a false e-mail address upon registration (make sure it's not in use by someone else and please choose to have it hidden).
It will not crash the system even if you choose to have the address public and someone tries to send an e-mail to it through our e-mail form.
But of course we
prefer to have our members using their proper e-mail address so the system can be used in all ways.
- You can request an e-mail with your password if you forget it
- You can choose to get notified when someone posts to your favourite threads or forums
- You can have the system send you an e-mail when someone replies to your post or sends you a private message
- Other members can e-mail you through our mail-form without knowing your e-mail address
- and more ...
When registering you can choose to have your address hidden. Then I'm the only one beeing able to look it up, but why should I? I will never abuse it and have really no interest in it!
Any comments on this?
