New Mods - What Good Fun !
Not long after I became a mod, we hit 50,000 members. Now we are about to reach 100,000. That, I assume, is because the cruising world heard that I am here, and they all swung by for a look.
Whatever the reason, we have a lot of activity here, and that means we have a lot of work to do behind the scenes. Boring stuff, you know, like killing spam, tidying titles (which should have capital letters, BTW), moving threads into correct forums, cutting the tongues from the mouths of rebels, wiping up the resulting blood, answering cries for help, and gently trying to promote the wonderful 'be nice' atmosphere that makes CF such a great place to be.
So, a month ago, we recruited a team of hot new mods to our ranks. They have made it almost a month, and they all still have their limbs intact, so we have great hopes for these guys who graciously stepped in and have done an amazing job with enthusiasm and charm!
SO, let's have a show of hands for these guys, to show our support:
Cruisers & Sailing Forums - View Profile: noelex 77
Cruisers & Sailing Forums - View Profile: foolishsailor
Cruisers & Sailing Forums - View Profile: avb3
Thanks, Guys!

As a mod an another forum i know the effort and grief that the job involves so a warm thank you from me to all those on here. You lot are doing a good, and mostly unappreciated, job.

Re: New Mods - What Good Fun !
Yours is a necessary but thankless role. All credit to you for being willing to take it on.
Here's an issue: I have tried on numerous occasions to renew my "Cruisers Forum Supporter" subscription. (Yes, I actually WANT to give money to the Forum.) But due to complications with PayPal, I haven't been able to do it. Do you plan on establishing another way to accept donations?

Re: New Mods - What Good Fun !
Hello new mods.....and as an admin on multiple forums, let me tell you that you aren't officially a mod until you've been whinged at by someone that says, "I didn't deserve that infraction", or you get badmouthed on facebook, or you accidentally ban the person making the report instead of the person being complained about.

Hi Atoll, I have been here, but reading quietly ... the boat work is actually nearly done now! And in another month it'll be cool enough to sail again!

Re: New Mods - What Good Fun !
Thanks and best wishes to the new mods! And thanks to the old mods, too.
p.s. FoolishSailor should change his username--it's misleading to those who aren't familiar with his posts.
