Re: Chrome Update - Security Patch ASAP
Hi Janet,
Is just having Chrome update itself sufficient, or do we need to do more?

Re: Chrome Update - Security Patch ASAP
Don, standing in for Janet - if your Chrome updates itself to 'Version 99.0.4844.84 ', you are good to go.
Chrome will check for updates when you open 'About Google Chrome' in the pull down menu under Chrome. Depending on your current version, it may take a few minutes and you may have to relaunch Chrome using the supplied button.
If I'm wrong, Janet will come along sooner or later and correct the above info.

All good. Some folks have chrome set to update only manually and so may not get the regular updates.
I've also read that google is rolling out the current patch but it may take a week for everyone to get it. I had to manually update yesterday despite the patch being released 2 days earlier.

Re: Chrome Update - Security Patch ASAP
I heard this and updated Chrome yesterday. I doubt it has been updated for 5 years or more. I'm manual. It didn't mention anything about it though, so I have no idea if the gap is closed or not......

Re: Chrome Update - Security Patch ASAP
I know this thread is 3 months old, but to warn you all, at work someone clicked on the notification to update Chrome and wound up downloading malware, which hijacked sensitive information.
Please be very careful when it comes to clicking on links. Do your due diligence. Many persons are from an older generation and are not astute on phishing emails and other digital attacks. A little online training goes a long way. Stay safe!
