Every country in the world has different legislation, rules and regulations. Where specifically do you intend to sell the boat?

We are trying to sell in Trinidad...

Would it just require deregistering the boat within SA and making the new owner, who is likely to be a foreigner and not from Trinidad, to do his own registration?

Re: Selling a South African boat abroad

Seems like I've heard quite a lot about export requirements for SA boats (safety, etc) in order for them to even leave the country. I've read more about SA boats and such export related issues than about boats sourced from other countries. Might it be beneficial for the buyer to take possession outside of the country?

Other than that it's probably more a buyer's country legal issue for the sale.
