Panama Zarpe

There is no longer a requirement to check out of one port and check into another in Panama. Myself and a couple of other boat captains went into Bocas del Toro this morning to get a Zarpe and check out to Portobello. We had heard a rumor that this was no longer required. The Port Capt. was not aware of this and he and another town official called Colon while we waited. Off the phone he smiled and said "enjoy your cruising, you are correct" . So now, throughout Panama it is only required that you check in when first arriving and check out when departing the country.
