Last summer (2018) while visiting the Connecticut & Rhode Island

demanded that we have Loss/Collision insurance
for our modest monohull
is long paid for, and we have a strong Liability policy in place.
Why would they care if we insure the boat
for loss? I guess I can see some sort of 'Salvage' coverage should we somehow sink in their marina, or at the harbor entrance? We paid cash for the yacht largely so we wouldn't have to deal with this stuff, and now seem to be strong-armed into buying
coverage we don't need.
