Indonesia, Bali. Tips on buying a boat

Ahoy mateys!!

Looking at the possibility of buying a boat in Indonesia.
Anyone with info on regulations, brokers, tax, things to be aware of, etc, especially brokers/surveyors in Bali.

I have been in Indonesia a few times and found corruption rampant at all levels, so I am worried about even considering making an offer or paying a deposit.
