Importing a NZ built yacht back to NZ

We are considering buying a yacht which has been imported into Australia, but was built in New Zealand. We would be bringing it back to New Zealand where we currently reside.

I thought I had read somewhere that as the yacht was built here, there would be no import duties to pay. Can someone clarify this?
