Displaying Registration Numbers

Canadian regulations require visible, obvious, and permanent display of registration number and tonnage for Canadian Registered boats. Apparently, they have softened on the size, allowing a brass plaque instead of 400 mm high numbers on a main beam.

I am looking at a brass plaque from The Marine Connection, Saanichton, BC. I am also interested in their assembly of plaque, clock, and barometer on hardwood.

Anybody have other ideas, other suppliers, or information on the quality of The Marine Connection products?

Thanks

400mm! That's 16" high! I don't think I could find a structural member to mark with numbers that tall.

I (f-bomb)ed up!

Sorry, Exposure. Shouldn't post after happy hour. I mean 40 mm, or 4 centimetres. Oh well. This means I have another chance for people to notice the question and give me an answer.
