Cuba bound...clearance and other questions.

After spending a great winter in the Abacos we're planning to take our Ketch, Odissea, to Cuba in the late fall. We're Canadian as is the vessel. She's registered on Ontario but not federally documented. I've got a multitude of guestiohs but I'll ask only a few for now. 1) is provincial registration suffecient to enter Cuba? 2) which charts are considered the most accurate (I have a raymarine chartplotter)? We are planning a landfall in the Varadaro area.
3) any anecdotal comments from other cruisers with firsthand recent experience? 4) we have a dog;any understanding of he documents needed?Looking forward to any and all responses!
