Blue Water Insurance + Med Insurance

Hi Everyone

I am busy planning my trans Atlantic trip from NY to the Med but haven't got either boat or personal insurance as yet.
I'm pretty sure I need boat insurance for the Med, but is that just liability? I too wouldn't mind having some insurance for me in case on an accident.

Who of you out there knows about this stuff & can point me in the right direction. It would be very much appreciated.
BTW, my last survey was July 2009, how often is a survey required for insurance?

Hi Trish,

Insurance providers vary, but generally only require a new survey when boat is older (10-20 years are some of the responses I have received)
