You Get What You Pay For

A new customer asked me to inspect the work her previous dive service had done a week earlier.

Gladius mini underwater drone, you can even show your customers what's under their boat in real time while they're at work via facetime or Facebook. Ours arrived two weeks ago, you need to get one of these:

Sure. If I wasn't A DIVER!

Seriously though, I have one of these for those times when getting into the water isn't convenient:

I also do all my own underwater work thanks in part to your generous advice, but sometimes I just wanna have a look without getting wet, like to see how the prop and anodes look. Plus, my wife doesn't like to put her face in the water, so this way she can go scuba diving too.

Which model drone do you have?

No drone. It's an ice fishing camera mounted on an extendable pole. Transmits via a WiFi hotspot to a phone app.

@Kenomac - Have you used the mini? Any opinion on it yet? Considering one but do worry about serviceability esp when away (or if company goes under). Thoughts?

I'll write up a complete review as soon as I get it out on the local lake. So far it seems to be a very well-constructed, quality item.

Wow that sure is a lot of growth for just one week.

I don't know, I didn't see it done. Why do you ask?

I do ours by hand, is there another way to do it? I’ve heard of some people trying to use cleaning drones, is that what you’re referring to?
