Year 6 on 10 Year Varnish

Wanted to show everybody what I have been using for 6 years now with only one touchup and one recoat. It is a 10 year finish from Italy they use on Riva Yachts. It is very high end, very glossy and retains a gloss for years and years. It is a two part catalized varnish and there are three different varnishes you use. A sealer base, a buildup and the top coat.

It is expensive and worth every penny. You will end up with at least 16 coats and 19 is preferred. If you don't want to put the effort in it won't work for you, but if you do, it goes pretty fast and the result is awesome.

This picture was taken a few months back and the finish you see there is 6 years old. They say it is a 10 year finish and I believe it will last that long on my boat. I don't have rail covers and they are always in the sun.

It is called Rivalle.

If I had to do it, it would take me ten years to put all those coats on and then I'd have to start again.
