Wire for rigging and what size oars?

Two totally unrelated questions, First on a sailing cruiser of about 40feet LOA, what is likely to be the specification of the standing rigging ie. 1x19, 7x19 etc?
secondly how does the beam and length of a large dinghy relate to the length required for the oars?

standing rigging is 1x19 wire can be round or dyform (dyform being stronger) in equal sized wire.
