Window Sealant?

My Marine Trader trawler has some leaky windows. If some are leaking now, I'm guessing all will be leaking soon because the sealant looks all cracked and flaky.

Windows are glass, outside frame fiberglass with screws, inside frame teak. What sealant should I use? Seems everybody has a reccomendation: 4000, 4200, Loctite Marine, Butyl Tape, Dolphinite... Hoping to get a semi-consensus.

Also does anybody use an oscillating multi-tool to break the sealant bond? What ever the last guy used is stuck pretty good despite being so weathered.

Re: Window Sealant?

Butyl tape gets recommended on the forum over and over for this (rather common) job. It's neat, easy to trim with a razor. Comes in white and black.

Butyl tape should work well but I highly recommen the tape that Maine Sail who is on this site has. Tried several and find this one superior.
