Will Sikaflex 292 work for this?

I have a galley counter top that has separated from its base on one side. It has warped slightly and needs to be clamped down when it is reattached. I do not want to replace it at this time.

I could use 292 or 5200 to fill in the gap (about 3/8" or 8mm at its worst) and hold it in place but do not know if it has the tear strength needed for the application. Alternatively I could epoxy it place using a fiberglass filler.

Any thoughts?

I would use epoxy. Hard to tell from the photo but if you can't get a clamp top and bottom over the glued area then a heavy tool box on top will work.

Put a flat board under the box to spread the load and get an even compression. In fact use a board top and bottom even if you can get a clamp around the spot but then you probably already know that.

I would also mix a little extra and seal the entire edge of the counter to keep it from further damage.

It will be difficult to get clamps on but not impossible. I tried that earlier today to see if I could. The board is a good idea and I was planning on something like that. At least with epoxy the setup time will quicker and I won't have to worry about the space between the two pieces filling up with white 292.
