Hi,
I have
radio cable that’s loose inside the
mast and bangs around a lot. I need to change the
mast top
antenna because it’s getting very old and is rusty, etc. The connector is also heavily corroded at the base of the
antenna. I was wondering if I should use this as an opportunity to replace the cable and maybe try the zip-tie trick to reduce the banging
noise?
This did get me thinking about the bigger question of whether a banging cable will lower the quality of your signal or not. Any insight would be appreciated. If getting a new cable is recommended here I’d like to do it all in one go, with only one trip up the mast.
Thanks!
