Who Makes This Hose???

I have this reinforced water hose in 1/2", but require some in 5/8". I bought it years ago, but can't recall the manufacturer or the vendor.
What makes it different is that it has an interior liner (see pic), thus far less susceptible to sunlight-induced mold formation.

I have used this in other applications and it has performed better than the typical clear water hose in that it does not develop the "sticky" surface over time that most of the other brands do.

Anyone know?

It is a specialized potable water hose. We had these in 5/8” so they did exist but I guess they stopped production because all this has been replaced by 15mm PEX. We replaced everything with PEX and never looked back, so much better

Re: Who Makes This Hose???

I think your best bet may be to buy a 5/8” Camco or other brand drinking water supply hose for RV’s. 5/8” and 3/4” are common water hose size.
You see that type of hose often in plumbing for toilet hoses. I believe it’s White reinforced PVC hose.

Camco has a “Premium” hose that is thicker than their regular hose

Re: Who Makes This Hose???

Are there any markings on it other than the red and blue stripes? Numbers maybe?

It has a single blue tracer, no other marking. I bought a large spool of it 15(?) years ago, and have found it to be an excellent hose. Unfortunately, I don't remember where I bought it.

It has a good bend radius, though less than the typical similar product from Shields or Trident, for example. It also seems to be much more resistant to collapsing under vacuum - it takes a pretty good squeeze to compress it. I have used it for condensate drain, water tank vents, cold water supply, etc.

Not the end of the world if I can't find it in 5/8", but would be nice.

Re: Who Makes This Hose???

FYI: Keep in mind this hose comes with a blue stripe and a red stripe (sometimes blue AND Red)

Blue Stripe = Cold Water
Red Stripe (Blue and Red) = Hot or Cold Water

Don't use a hose with a blue stripe on the outbound side of a water heater.
