Which steering wheel chain from MCMaster Carr?

Hi,
I need to replace the streering chain on a Goiot wheel. McMaster Carr has many different materials to choose from. I was going to go with 304 stainless, but wondering if any of the other materials (nickel plated steel, 316 stainless, etc) would be a better option?

You may want to contact Edson Marine to discuss your needs or send them what you have and they will provide a replacement. An industrial supply house may not be best if you don't know precisely what you want.

The links on your existing chain may be marked. These are mine Whitney 50 SS. 5/8” stainless. Can’t remember which alloy but the Whitney catalog will tell me. This is a heavier chain than most so likely won’t be your size.
