Re: what type of portholes are these?

Hard to say without a pic of the outside but these remind me of Lewmar's standard line. I've spent alot of time recently looking at portlights to replace the ones on my boat.

Re: what type of portholes are these?

Is it a molded shape or just round in cross section?

Re: what type of portholes are these?

Having just done a major overhaul of all the ports in my boat including new glass and rubbers. (14 ports altogether), I can safely say these are nothing like the Lewmar ports in my boat.

For the record, my boat was built in 1986 so my ports could be a later iteration and Lewmar design may have changed.

Re: what type of portholes are these?

By the way I just found your previous post where you identifed them as old Lewmars so I guess i was on the right track. Is this what you are looking for.

https://hatchmasters.com/product/lew...ortlight-seal/

According to the desc this seal was made for the Lewmar standard line near the time your boat was built.

Re: what type of portholes are these?

There are TWO kinds:
-cheap ones that leak
-expensive ones that don't leak

Re: what type of portholes are these?

They look like Lewmar to me they may or may not be original to the boat. One way to identify is the profile of that little part of the gasket that holds it to the frame. I'll attach some pages, first shows port latch like yours versus earlier versions, other 2 show the gaskets and their peculiar shapes.

I was told by the previous owner they are the "newer old standard". I ordered Lewmar #2. The size is right but they are too thick where you can't close the hatch.
So, what is the next thinner size for lewmar?
Anyone please?
