What the heck is this?

Was digging around in a drawer yesterday and found a little plastic tube with these four bits in it. Must have been there for years, I'm guessing from the PO but could be something that came with some gadget I installed and tossed in there myself.

The second one from the top has a mirror inside at a 45 degree angle like it might be for a periscope tube. The one just below has a magnet on the end.

They are about the diameter of a standard sized, wood pencil, maybe 3/8" or 10 mm for the metric people.

Larger photos of the two described at the top.

Any guesses?

The silver one appears to be the thing you use to poke into your iPhone to make the SIM card holder pop out. As for the others? No idea.

I am not sure, but it looks to be the right diameter hole to fit a "mini" flashlight.

they are the end attachments for an inspection camera. one should have a mirror at 45° one will have a magnet in the end and the other a hook. I have the same set.

Re: What the heck is this?

Those are attachments for an endoscope (borescope).
One is a hook for retrieving objects and another is a prism for viewing at 90 degrees from the scope axis. One looks like a custom "paperclip" for re-setting electronics to default. I'm not sure about the others.

Re: What the heck is this?

OK, checked my borescope and it does seem to be the exact diameter of the camera so the little black things must go with that. Got it a year or so ago and must have tossed the little things in a drawer and forgot about them.

And the little silver thing does seem to be the SIM tool for my wife's iphone.

Thanks all.

Fortunately found them in a drawer and not in me. If the grandkids had found there would definitely have been an extraction project initiated.

Re: What the heck is this?

They are the end fittings for an endoscope or boroscope I have a set like that for my inexpensive endoscope which connects to my iPhone or iPad and is waterproof, so can use it to check things underwater, although to be honest, the water needs to be pretty clear to be able to see anything. Found it useful for finding the end of a cable in my mast though.

The little paperclip like item is an iPhone tool for opening the SIM card holder

Really glad you mentioned that. I'm getting ready to install a wind unit on the masthead and being a smart guy, left a heavy piece of line from the masthead through the cable channels to the base but it got pushed up inside the mast.

Duh, didn't think about the borescope to look for it.

Re: What the heck is this?

These are fittings for a miniature inspection camera endoscope the fitting with the silver end is magnetic to be able to pick items up the other fittings have other uses.

Thanks. Seems like this is the case and they do match the diameter of my scope BUT I don't see how to attach them. Am I missing a sleeve or something to hold these onto the end of the camera?

To me it looks like a Tuit. You are lucky, because many of us never get a round to it.
