What are your spring projects for your boat?

I have to move my old Watkins 27 sailboat 100 miles by water from winter storage to my slip.
The boat was purchased 2 years ago and have already done a lot of work.

This spring my list is getting smaller
0. Standard interior cleaning.
1. Check the oil and decide if I will do an oil change.
I changed the oil and filter in the fall after I motored the 100 miles (20 Hours) to give the motor a good workout.
May try putting some sea foam into the oil to help remove any sludge.
2. Install a new zinc to the prop shaft and check the zinc in the engine cooling system.
3. Check the diesel tank for diesel bug.
I may try removing the fuel tank and give it a good cleaning.
4. Check the engine antifreeze and replace if needed.

Other things I may do over the summer.
1. Rewire each system one at a time.
The wiring all works but it is a mess.
Last year I rewired my Nav lights.
I think I will pick once circuit at a time.
2. Replace a cracked window.
This is only 1 window that leaks because it has a crack covered up with clear tape.
Sometime this summer I will replace it.

What are your projects?

Enlarged battery box for bigger battery.
Recut main to add a gusset in attempt to get a better shape at the bottom.

What is "sea foam" and how does it work?

Re: What are your spring projects for your boat?

The list is shorter this year:

New thru hull, seacock, etc for the galley sink.
Shim the rudder post
Finish the new genoa
Add chafe patches to the main
Add 3rd reef to the main
Rebed/ replace the portlights (8)
refinish & install brightwork & seahood
Oil interior wood
Install some fuses
Install AIS
Install composting head
Paint bottom
wax hull
Install anchor roller
Change fuel filters

I'm also helping my friend with her boat, with a similar list.

Sea Foam is a fuel and engine oil additive.
Some people say it works wonders on removing sludge for an old engine.

Here is a thread about it

Re: What are your spring projects for your boat?

The immediate list is to finish my Freezer build. While it is technically now spring, it is still cold and raining, I hope to have the freezer done by the time we have consistent good weather.

There is an endless list of projects, I don't have "Spring" or "Winter" projects. I just try to time them to not interfere with use of the boat.

I should add 2 more
1. Companionway seat.
On my last 2 sailboats I had a high bridge deck where I could sit facing forward in the companionway.
On my Watkins 27 the bridge deck is low and I will be building a seat that will slide into the slots in the companionway like the one in the video.
2. Interior table.
The PO lost the interior table.
Not sure if it will be a standard bulkhead dropdown or if I will use the Lague support system.
