It has battery, a light and camera and it creates a wifi AP that you can connect to with any smartphone or tablet.
I've always been leery of those endoscopes as I once bought a 'USB microscope' which turned out to be pretty useless. Yes, it magnified stuff to perhaps a 'microscope' level, but the lighting was so non-uniform and the pictures so blurry I could never tell what I was looking at.

Does that endoscope produce clear pictures and can you adequately interpret what you are seeing? I love the idea but don't want to add another piece of not really useful junk to my kit.

Yes it works as advertised. I think there’s videos or else search on Youtube.

Some have a special 90 degree angle mirror if you want more options.

The LED light is amazing.

I understand this concern. Mine has substandard lighting. So I do augment with a flashlight helping to light the hole/crevice/ area. Makes all the difference.

I guess I could buy a really expensive one and hope the light works, but relative to how little I use it... My cheapo is fine.

I've yet to encounter a situation where I couldn't place a flashlight or two in position to get good visual results. I figure, unless the area you're viewing is the exact diameter of of camera snake, it works.

Some watches will display your phone's camera, lots of places you can fit your hand and phone that you can't fit your eyeballs.
Probably not worth buying a watch just for that, but if you have one with the functionality, it's worth knowing you can use it for that purpose.

I find a jeweller's loupe https://www.ebay.com/itm/25198275051...8AAOSw7Ytf0W5v to be a useful tool. I use it for reading miserable tiny instructions for equipment, and for peering into recalcitrant computer charger (Panasonic CF-31) connectors, among lots of other things.
