Watermaker Upgrade...

I have a new(never used) Katadyn 35e survivor manual water maker and was wondering if it can be upgraded to a POWERED unit by adding some sort of 12vpump. The cost for a new powered unit is more than just a bit over my pay scale. I bought this when I was still feeling strong and now as I have extra power to use I am getting lazy. I have never had to use it but it would be nice to have the option. I layed in a supply of all the extra stuff, extra new membrane and all the chemicals and such but have never even used the first drop. Any ideas would be helpful............m
I must go down to the sea again.........

Although the Power Survivor 35 & 40E easily convert to manual operation, I donít believe there is any simple conversion/upgrade from from the Survivor 35 Manual to powered operation.

It may be worthwhile contacting Katydyn:
