Water Tank Pickip Points

I m getting ready to reinstall the water tanks that came with my boat. The tanks do not seem to have the typical setup with lift tubes coming off the top of the tanks. It appears that the tanks where vented from the top and the water is drawn directly though a fitting from he bottom side of the tanks, has anyone ever seen this type of setup before?

Yes, it's common. water tanks don't necessarily need or have a sump, so they drain from the lowest end...
