If you really want to find the leak [leak's], drill a hole just below the top of the ballast and install a 1/4 " fitting, attach a small compressor to the fitting and input say 10 pounds of pressure, the leak [leaks] will show up, you can also inject Acetone to dry out any moisture.

Seems like 10 psi could easily exacerbate the delamination of the glass/ballast interface. I'd think carefully about this process!

Water in encapsulated keel

Am I looking at different pictures than everyone else? How big are those patches that have been ground open? Looks to me like a significant bit of keel support structure has already been removed and the job isn’t done yet.. Maybe its zoomed in closer than I think.

But even so, tons of rusting steel buried in glass? I sure as heck wouldn’t spend money to own that problem.
