Vancouver Island - yard/mechanic recommendations?

Can anyone recommend a yard near Victoria, BC? Or give an opinion as to picking Philbrook's or Canoe Cove?

This isn't my part of the question, so I'm low on leads. We'll be doing some deck work ourselves, and will be looking for a good mechanic.

We're frugal but reasonable! If we could get up to Richmond, we'd go to the Commodore's/Shelter Island.

Canoe cove and the folks at Raven Marine (mechanics at Canoe Cove) are excellent. I highly recommend that location!
