For covering up some flaws in the hull, has anyone used a brush rather than a spray for applying gelkote? More sanding would be needed, but it should sand down rather easy would be my guess? A picture of the hull that needs work is attached.
There is a youtube video by Tap Plastics showing gel being applied via a brush rather than the spray. The sprayer requires thining with styrene whereas it seems like brush application would be easier. Wet sanding the gel should remove brush marks and I'm even considering the use of a small foam brush. The photo did not attach, but is over on the sailnet site if anyone is interested.

You will need a wax additive , or have to seal the surface from air.

You can thin with MEK or acetone. You will sand off at least 80% of what you put on brushing. This is a fools errand when a Preval costs only a couple of dollars more than a disposable brush.
