Unusable Anchor Roller

My anchor roller is too small and unusable. The drum for the roller furler is in the way of the small Danforth that came with the boat. I will be purchasing a new roller to fit my new 22 pound plow. I have been thinking of moving one of the chocks aft slightly and off setting the roller sum 6" to stb. Is there any reason I shouldn't do this? Any suggestions on rollers? I don't want to raise the drum and re-cut the sails, I really like my deck sweepers.

I can’t think of any reason why you couldn’t do an offset to your roller as far as generally speaking goes...a picture might make things a bit clearer.
