Tired Hull Paint

I have a GRP hull the gell coat is fine but I have two broard dark Blus stripes which are very faded/oxidised
What reconditioning compound is recomended to work the best.
Or indeed any method that works
Thanks

Re: Tired hull paint

Chris, if your paint is a typical marine paint, the shine is in the surface - it can't be traditionally polished like an automotive paint. SOME folks who are really, really good at it have had some success - but most paints are designed to just be prepped and repainted. Do you know what it was originally painted with?

Hi
No I dont know the original paint
Wht would be a good paint to redo the stripes, bearing in mind I will have to do it by hand (no sprey gear)
