Hi all. I'm looking for some help on recommendations to fix my pivot joint leak on my 1969 Kenner Skipjack currently
on the hard.
I've ground away over an inch of chopped strand
fiberglass? that looks like it was meant to stop this leak from continuing. When I got down to the pivot joint, it's not a bolt as you can see. It does rotate when the swing
keel is moved. You can see the
keel itself through the hole in the keel box.
Have you seen this arrangement before?
Do I need to replace the
current set up with a bolt/nut/washers?

Or are there other options?
I'm going to
work on the other side soon which also has a thick layer over it to see what's hiding in the other side.
Any thoughts would greatly be appreciated! Thanks in advance!
