Stove Thermocouple

Hey guys and girls. Does anyone know where i might be able to get a new thermocouple for a Regal 2123 2-burner stove? Or are they standard parts that can be switched out between manufacturers? I can't find any info anywhere on these stoves, so i'm not holding out much hope that the company still exists.......... Cheers!

Re: Stove Thermocouple

You don't need a thermocouple from the manufacturer. Thermcouples are a standard industrial item, they are inexpensive. Buy one from an industrial supplier. They are made in different types, identified by a letter, ie type K, J, N, etc. You most likely have a type K. remove the old thermocouple and look at the ends where it connects. Type K is red and yellow, J is red and white, you can look up other types in Wikipedia.

Ensure when you install it that the thermocouple wire is electrically insulated from any other structure. A grounded thermocouple will read very inaccurately.
